The concentration camp called Dwyersdorp lies just outside Brandfort. A garden of remembrance was created in memory of the 15 550 women and children who died during the Anglo-Boer War of 1899 to 1902. These large number of women and children where the victims of the absolute shocking conditions in the British concentration camp at Brandfort.
